Why did they ban Huawei
It's the reason why the US banned companies from using Huawei networking equipment in 2012 and the company was added to the US Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security Entity List on May 15, following an executive order from President Donald Trump effectively banning Huawei from the US

Finally, Huawei officially disclosed and confirmed that its new operating system (OS) -HarmonyOS. End of the year Huawei likes to use its own OS in new smartphones, So the upcoming Huawei mobiles are in HarmonyOS.The operating system will be released as an open-source platform worldwide to encourage adoption. The OS firstly will be in Honor Smart Screen. The focus for the operating system will be products for the Chinese market at first before Huawei expands it to other markets.
The CEO of Huawei’s consumer business group, Richard Yu, says that HarmonyOS is completely different from Android and iOS because of its ability to scale across different kinds of devices and the new OS will run 'faster and safer' than Android.
HarmonyOS now has an official name, but it still has some major barrier to overcome
